Life and Works of Padmanath Saraswati

According to Bangiyo Sahitya Parishad ,Padmanath Saraswatiappears in the list of one hundred most meritorious Bengalees;

They published his life and works in 1972, which is reproduced here. This rare publication will be of immense importance to researchers as well as his successors.

Revised Family Tree

There are different versions of the Family Tree; the one i collected three decades back from my uncle late Prahlad Chandra is exhaustive and has minor differences here and there with what is documented with

Ramanath-da. After discussion with him on 4 th December 2011 at his residence in Mumbai, we have come to a consensus, which is produced below :

..these pages are from the book " Ramnather Prithibi" authored by Shyam Sunder Basu , published by Sajani Prakashan,Howrah 711104,2002; the book among others touches history of Baniachang .This revised Family Tree has a mapping of nearly 400 years ( 18 generations). According to the then British Lt.Governor , Baniachang was the largest village of the world.
